Spam and firewall server upgrade
More memory for the firewall and spam server – it’s been getting hammered recently – over 1000 spam emails per day.
Hopefully this means email for Grandpop, Rachael and everyone in Utah will be working better.
(Just a clarification – it’s just the family in Utah who gets mail through this box – not the whole of Utah..)

Time to kill off the last old Compaq box:
A bomb proof Compaq Proliant 800. Running as a backup server for six years now.

Vista, HP and drivers for a HP Photosmart 7150
At last HP have released basic drivers for the HP Photosmart 7150 for Vista.
They describe these as “basic” – I’ll report progress later.
This download includes a Print Driver only. This driver makes it possible to use the basic functions for the printer. HP will not be providing a Full Featured Software and Driver for this product; therefore, some functionality may be lost when you use this product with Windows Vista.

Collanos 1.1 update
Back to Collanos 1.1 – and the good news is that most of the bugs seem to be ironed out.
I’m now sharing several GB with my team; performance is good if tweaked.
