HP sauce. Food of the gods. Made in Birmingham for years.
Even my good friend Alan from Halifax, Nova Scotia loves it.
HP sauce. Perfect on sausages, greasy fry-ups, veggy burgers, chops – pretty much anything.
The company that bought out the HP brand are now threatening to move production; not to another site within the UK; but to Holland.
Not unsurprisingly there is uproar in Birmingham. Now there is even an online petition – http://www.saveoursauce.co.uk. I urge all HP sauce lovers to show their support.

We joined Recycle Utah a month or so ago – supporting recycling locally.
We’ve now started composting again (a three year gap since we were in England), seperating recyclable glass and generally trying to cut down on the general trash we throw out.
I also signed up for the Utah Power green energy program – to power our web server farm.
Every little helps.
There was a thought provoking article in the Salt Lake Tribune today about this.

Wow – I went out for dinner tonight in Birmingham, England with my sister.
Birmingham is renowned as one of the curry capitals of England; the original home of the Balti.
This evening I chose to visit a recommendation – Lasan in the Jewelery Quarter.
Put simply – the food was superb. Modern, classy Indian, served with style. Very tasty, extremely high quality ingredients – and they cook parathas to order 🙂
Highly recommended
