Following on from the firewall upgrades a week or two ago – I continued to harden and update my public facing servers.
I just installed Novell AppArmor on both web servers. Hopefully this host-based security hardening will help.

I posted some time ago about moving to the internal beta GroupWise 7 Linux client.
Since then I’ve been very impressed with the new found stability and performance of the Linux client – it’s actually pretty responsive too!
Also all new is the revamped WebAccess – drag and drop, name completion and a new look – very impressive.

I predict that within the next two-three years this open-source marketing campaign will be used as a case study for anybody looking at marketing within high technology.
From modest beginings, through to the release of Firefox 1.0, the double page ad in the New York Times, to over 70 million downloads – this is perhaps a never to be repeated phenomenon.
